Meet at 11:30am at the market place (opposite Boots) right in the heart of the city. Discover a different side to the city of Durham as you stroll along the cobbled streets and riverside. We experience an eclectic mix of dining styles as we start to work our way through courses. In addition to stopping at four of the best restautrants in the city, we also explore Durhams famous indoor market and try food and drinks from local producers. It wouldn't be right not to stop and take in the breathtaking views of Durham Cathedral & Castle! All food & drinks are included on this tour. This tour offers full size alcoholic drinks, however a non alcoholic alternative is always available!
Durham Gin Tour With Lunch

Meeting in the heart of Durham for 12pm (gin o'clock). We invite you to an afternoon exploring gins from both locally and around the world! This tour sees us visit a local gin distillery where we meet the maker and learn the age old of distilling. As we saunter around the historic city of Durham, we stop at various gin haunts and bars including taking time to enjoy a hot lunch of various small plates and charcuterie boards that are perfect pairings to our gin coktail as we toast to our day! One of our stops even sees us take away a gift as a momento of the day.

We are great fans of Food Tours and choose to join them whenever we visit a new city. On our way to Northumberland, we chose the Durham Food Tour and had a great afternoon. A friendly and knowledgeable guide Julie led us through the city, stopping for food and drink in 5 different places. Great food, plenty of it, and a great overview of Durham. Fabulous way to spend a Saturday! Julie was really friendly and knew so much about Durham and its history which she told us about on our way round the various stops. I won't go into detail about the various food and drink stops as that would spoil the surprises for others (and they do change sometimes), but we enjoyed several stops at different places around the city sampling different food and lots of alcohol! Don't have much breakfast before you go, you will be completely stuffed. We went back to a few of the places we visited to buy some of the products we had tried. If you're in Durham for a weekend I totally recommend you book on this tour. We have done a few food tours in different places and this one is by far the best value. - Laura
