Hi I know that I havent posted a blog for some time. Its definitely something that I need to keep up! Over the last few weeks the hospitality and tourism industries like many hace taken a devastating hit, not only here in the North East but of course all over the UK and indeed the world. At the begining of March we took the decision to postpone our food tours, for the safety of both our guests and tours guides. As a small business, like many others we worried about our future trading.. will people still want to visit the city?....will people still want to come along to a food tour etc etc etc. Fortunately over 95% of our upcoming tours have postponed rather than cancel. This is great news for us as it shows that people still want to celebrate their birthdays, corporate events and anniversaries etc with us in future! We are so grateful so thank you to everyone who has done this. We absolutely love what we do and can not wait to celebrate with everyone in the hopefully not too distant future. Supporting local businesses where you can is so important. Myself and my husband ordered a cheese delivery from Mathews Cheese in The Grainger Market last Sunday. The girls safely dropped off our order, abiding carefully by the goverments safety guidelines to our front door. They actually run deliveries all across the area for just £2.50 delivery which is amazing as we actually live in Northumberland so it was a little out of their way but they were very happy to do it and were equally as grateful for the business too. Another way to support local is to perhaps buy a voucher to either use in the future or as a gift for someone. Each time someone buys a voucher from a local business, is a little boost for the owner of that restaurant/bar. We look foward to working alongside of amazing eateries again very soon and cant wait to showcase just how fantastic the north east's culinary scene really is....until then stay safe and stay at home Love Amy, Andrew and Archie aka (The Triple A) xx
